I'm now professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Geneva, teaching Information Systems and (trying to do some) research in digital forensics.

I give lectures on Advanced Operating Systems (Systèmes II) and Digital Forensics at the CUI (Centre Universitaire d'Informatique).

I give lectures on Digital Forensics at the Institut de Police Scientifique (University of Lausanne, Law Faculty).

I will shortly give lectures on Digital Forensics at the Computer Science department of the University of Stockholm.

I'm also a forensic investigator ("Expert judiciaire en informatique près la Cour d'Appel de Chambéry, France"), affiliated to the CNEJITA (Compagnie Nationale des Experts Judiciaires en Informatique et Techniques Associées) and a founding member of the LERTI (Laboratoire d'Expertise et de Recherche de Traces Numériques).

For 8 years, I've been head of software development group at the University of Geneva.

In the last years, I have been involved in a way or other in several research projects:

In 1999 and for one year I've been elected President of the Faculty of Science Council, and I've been elected a voting member of the University Council.

I've been member of several program committees or organisation committees.

David Billard received his PhD (05-30-1995) from the University of Montpellier II, Laboratoire de Systèmes Informatiques (France, maintenant intégré au LIRMM).
